Protecting Our Enviroment

The impact of what we do and how we behave is far-reaching. Production on a scale such as ours brings enormous environmental responsibilities, which we take very seriously. We identify, control and measure all our activities, and work hard to reduce their environmental impact. We aim to keep energy consumption and emissions to a minimum, maximise our recycling rates, optimise the use of secondary packaging materials and manage waste appropriately, by avoiding use of landfills and limiting water usage. The Emissions pillar of our sustainability strategy aligns to the SBTi and aims to minimise our GHG emissions and other potential emissions to air. We are targeting a reduction in our Scope 1 & 2 GHG emissions by 42% and Scope 3 GHG emissions by 12.3% by 2030 across our global production facilities from a 2020 baseline. We also aim to cut NOx emissions intensity by 23% by 2030. These targets have been approved by the SBTi.
